An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced delivery driver at our Pizza Hut Australia restaurant in Niddrie, Victoria.

As a delivery driver, you will ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, review orders prior to delivery, and provide exceptional customer service to our client base. There may be times when you are expected to undertake other duties at times including but not limited to food preparation, receipt of orders, cooking, and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
• Organize all pizzas appropriately to be delivered to customers.
• Be able to prioritize the best routing for delivery orders.
• Maintain optimal level of hygiene for all pizzas.
• Manage and maintain a record of all money and coupons collected from customers and manage all credit card accounts, and ensure appropriate signatures on receipts.
• Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after return to store.
• Facilitate communication for all mobile equipment and ensure adherence to all safety requirements of the organization.
• Maintain knowledge on all operations of the pizza oven and ensure compliance to all company standards to assemble all boxes.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area associated with the job function.
• Complete dishwashing duties and other cleaning projects in between orders.
• Assist in the restocking and replenishment of products and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.
• Promote pizza products, and distribute door hangers and promotional materials.

What we are looking for

• Be at least 17 years of age.
• Possess suitable communication skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Have a mobile phone with data enabled so that you can track all travel with each delivery.
• Where a store does not have use of a company vehicle, have use of a properly maintained, insured, and street-legal vehicle.
• Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as stipulated by company policy and the insurance carrier.
• Be capable of reading a map and interpreting GPS directions.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
• Be able to work in a seated position while driving and in standing and walking positions with frequent changes between positions.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift objects, exercising proper ergonomic practices.
• Have exceptional grooming and hygiene habits for food safety and compliance purposes.
